Appliances

All our major appliances are purchased new, but clearly you may not be the first people to use them!

A typical house will have:

DISHWASHER – Always installed in houses for 6 or 7 people

TUMBLEDRYER - Except for where it is impossible to locate one

HOBS, OVEN & MICROWAVE – Microwaves always have grills in houses for 6 or 7 people

WASHING MACHINE - Yes

FRIDGE & FREEZER - Sometimes more than one

TV in Living Room - One provided in the living room + TV points in all bedrooms

VACUUM - ‘Henry’ vacuums – reliable & difficult to break

We will provided a kettle, toaster, ironing board, iron, etc. if you request any of these but our experience is that students like to bring their own so we only supply these on request.

Furnishings

Most of our houses are furnished from Ikea.

A typical bedroom will have:

DOUBLE BED – Usually 4’ wide unless a 4’6” or 3’ is requested

WARDROBE

CHEST OF DRAWERS

DESK

OFFICE CHAIR

BED SIDE TABLE -If room permits

CURTAINS AND/OR BLINDS

WASTE BIN

Occasionally we provide an arm chair or sofa in a really large bedroom – if you think you have room for one please ask if you want one!

Fittings & Extras

A typical bedroom will have:

LONG MIRROR

SHELVING

PIN BOARD

HOOKS ON BACK OF DOOR

WASTE BIN

FITTED CARPET OR RUG ON BOARD FLOOR

NB: Foreign Students without some of the ‘Basics’: We can usually arrange to supply you with things such as Bedding, Crockery & Cutlery, Cooking Equipment etc; please ask.
